With Your Help, the Lone Sailor can get Orders to Orlando.  He will be stationed at the City of Orlando’s Blue Jacket Park.  The Park is located on the property that once was the venerable “Grinder” of the Orlando Naval Recruit Training Center (RTC).  Orlando’s RTC graduated its last company of 459 recruits in the 1321st Pass-In-Review Ceremony on December 2, 1994. RTC officially closed on March 31, 1995. During its existence more than 652,000 recruits graduated from RTC.   Little remains to commemorate the effort made by the many young men and women at RTC who made the transition from civilians to dedicated, patriotic and squared away sailors. The Central Florida Navy league will erect a Lone Sailor Navy Memorial in Blue Jacket Park that is worthy of commemorating the Sailors who graduated from RTC Orlando.
